The exhibition will consist of 24 works of art. It includes two works by Albert York (1928 - 2009), the painting
Farm Landscape and the remarkable acrylic on paper Woman in Garden, which has never before been exhibited.

Featured is Portrait of Stanford White at the Age of 35, an 1888 platinotype by the English photographer Frederick Hollyer (1838 - 1933), best known for his portraits of Victorian and Edwardian literary and artistic figures. This too has never been seen and has remained until today in the family of the celebrated architect.

Among the British works are the 1838 Portrait of a Young Lady by Richard ("Mad") Dadd (1817 - 1886); an Egyptian watercolor view by Edward Lear (1812 - 1888); Gliddon and Consultation: Study for "Two Figures: Hubby and Minnie", two exceptional drawings by Walter Richard Sickert (1860 - 1942); a rare self portrait drawing by Gwen John (1876 -1939); and Portrait Head, a 2001 etching by Lucian Freud (1922 - 2011), whose first American exhibition was held in 1978 at this gallery.

Mother and Child by Bloomsbury artist Vanessa Bell (1879 - 1961) is paired with a caricature of her by the preeminent American caricaturist David Levine (1926 - 2009).

Other notable works are Basket with Cat by the American Bill Traylor (1854 - 1949); Snowflake and Dandelion, two photographs made as early as 1885 by the American Wilson A ("Snowflake") Bentley (1865 – 1931); and Ornamental Gourds and Celery Standard Bearer from the turn of the last century by the British photographer Charles Jones (1866 - 1959).
